What is the Element Inspector?
The Element Inspector is Bildstak's click-to-query interface for the 3D model. Click any BIM element and Bildstak shows every record linked to it — BCF issues, RFIs, COBie properties, cost lines and schedule activities — joined automatically by the element's IFC GlobalID.
The Element Inspector turns your BIM model into a live index of the whole project. Instead of switching between your BIM viewer, your RFI system, your cost ledger and your schedule to find everything relevant to a single wall, duct or structural member, you click the element and Bildstak assembles every linked record instantly.
What the Element Inspector shows for a selected element: - BCF coordination issues raised against the element — clash, design query, or site instruction. - RFIs from Procore or Aconex that reference the element or its zone. - COBie property sets, asset data and handover requirements. - Cost lines from the ERP or cost schedule linked to the component. - Schedule activities from Primavera P6 that install or affect the element. - IDS compliance status — whether the element meets the information delivery specification.
All of this is joined by the IFC GlobalID, the stable identifier every IFC element carries. That means no manual cross-referencing: the relationship between a coordination issue and the cost line for the same component is understood automatically.
The Element Inspector is particularly powerful for claims and dispute resolution. If a delay or defect issue is connected to a specific element, the Inspector shows the full evidence trail — from the BCF issue to the RFI to the schedule impact — in one view, ready to be cited in a claim package.
