What is the Bildstak Desktop app?

The Bildstak Desktop app brings the same plain-English AI intelligence to a locally installed application on your workstation — no server, no cloud connection, no data leaving the machine.

Key characteristics:

• Local IFC interrogation. Open IFC models directly on your machine. The Element Inspector, plain-English queries and citation-backed answers all work offline.
• Offline operation. Suited to air-gapped environments, site offices with limited connectivity, pre-award due diligence where data sensitivity is highest, and users who simply prefer a local tool.
• No data egress. Everything stays on the workstation. There is no telemetry, no cloud sync, and no AI training on local data.
• Same product. The Desktop app runs the same federation and query logic as the server deployment, so you are not working with a reduced-feature version — just a different execution environment.

Connections to remote systems (P6, Procore, SAP) are still possible where network access is available; the "offline" characteristic applies specifically to the AI and BIM query stack, which runs locally.
