Does Bildstak support BCF?

Yes, Bildstak supports BCF. It reads BCF files and live BCF streams, linking each issue to the IFC element it references — so coordination clashes, design queries and review comments become part of the same federated model you query alongside schedule, cost and RFIs.

Yes, Bildstak has native BCF support. BCF (BIM Collaboration Format) is the open standard for coordination issues and comments that reference specific IFC model elements, and Bildstak treats BCF as a first-class source in its federation.

What Bildstak does with BCF data:

  • Element linking — each BCF topic points at one or more IFC elements by GlobalID. Bildstak resolves those references automatically, so the issue is linked to the element, and from there to any other records (cost lines, RFIs, schedule activities) for the same element.
  • Issue queries — ask "how many open BCF clashes on Level 3 involve structural elements?" and get a cited answer drawn from the live BCF data.
  • Status tracking — BCF issue statuses (open, in progress, resolved) are surfaced in the AI chat and reports so coordination managers can track progress without leaving Bildstak.
  • Multi-source correlation — a BCF clash and a Procore RFI about the same element are joined by GlobalID, revealing whether the same scope is generating repeated coordination problems.
  • Viewpoints — BCF viewpoints (camera position, visible elements) are preserved so you can navigate to the exact model view the issue was raised against.

Bildstak reads BCF files uploaded directly or via connected tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud. See the integrations page for connection details.
