We came from VDC trailers and project-controls desks. We had lived the Monday-morning ritual: six logins, three spreadsheets, and a number you still could not defend.
Then the obvious hit us. Every element in an IFC model already carries a GlobalID — a stable identifier that survives every export. The industry had a primary key all along and had never used it to join its data. That is Bildstak: index every source by the GlobalID, and the whole project reconnects.
One question, in plain language, answered from every connected source — with the exact row, activity, clause or page it came from. No SQL. No data team. No black boxes.
The BIM model and its identifier are the source of truth. Everything else reconnects to it.
